Founded and led by visual artist Mouton Burger, MOT Studio is a boutique, owner-operated visual production company based in the scenic coastal village of Tergniet in South Africa’s Western Cape. As a solo-run studio, we pride ourselves on providing personal attention and a consistent creative vision to every project. Mouton Burger has over 15 years of experience in 3D visualisation and design. His background in architectural design gives him a unique perspective on the needs of architects and property developers. Since establishing MOT Studio in 2007, he has worked on projects ranging from luxury real estate and commercial developments to imaginative concept art. Mouton remains personally involved in every render and animation, ensuring each detail meets his exacting standards of quality and realism.
Over the years, the studio’s scope has expanded beyond architecture. While our roots lie in architectural rendering and animation, we now also apply our expertise to film, product design, and visual effects projects. I’m Mouton Burger, the founder and sole operator of MOT Studio. Trained as an architect and with over 15 years’ experience in 3D visualisation and digital storytelling, I blend a deep understanding of space and form with state-of-the-art CGI and VFX techniques. Every project benefits from my commitment to Innovation, Integrity and Excellence—I oversee each stage personally, from initial concept and asset modelling right through to final compositing and delivery.
Based in the coastal village of Tergniet on South Africa’s Garden Route, I draw daily inspiration from the ever-changing light, ocean breezes and rugged landscapes that surround my studio.
